The competition is strong at Kennesaw State University this year as basketball games will be played at Kennesaw State on Thursday, Nov. 15. The women's game starts at 7:30 p.m. and the men's game is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. The women's game will be played at the KSU Arena, which has an attendance capacity of 4,000. Kennesaw's Jordan and Geno Banks, son of former KSU guard Ralph Banks, will star. Kennesaw's men's basketball team will go to state to play in the Class AAAA Division II sectional on Thursday at Athens-Clarke. The Golden Eagles won their first region title with a big win in regional play last week against Athens-Clarke. They face a tough game at Mercer in a pair of games starting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 22. The Golden Eagles are a top-seeded school in the state tournament with a record of 20-1. The tournament runs Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 at the Atlanta Civic Center.
